Monday Muse | Come to the Coast
Everybody should have a place to live on the coast. It’s akin to the age old benefits of getting up close and personal with the earth as you weed your flower bed, plant new seedlings, just getting your hands dirty in all kinds of soil.
There’s really no need to get sand in your shoes or between your toes either. The benefits are, quite simply, in the sea air. Our lungs treated to the freshness and saltiness delivered by the seemingly forever nothingness between land and the horizon. Squawks at irregular intervals from the gulls who want us to know that they’re always there.
But the ultimate treat is the sound of the waves gently lapping the shore as I drift off to sleep with the balcony door open. Seriously love that. Wouldn’t you?
