Once upon a Wednesday | Where's my Focus?
Life is about to get a tad busy over the next few weeks. We’re excited to see Hayley when she lands at Manchester tomorrow to be bridesmaid for Holly, her best friend from university, when she marries her beau on Saturday. And Vincent and I are thrilled that we’ll be sharing in the celebrations of Holly and Firas’ big day!
Hayley has a whirlwind, whistle-stop visit planned around the wedding, including shopping (of course!), a meal with the family and calling in on Jodie, Stuart and the boys, and more shopping (in case she forgot anything first time round!) until she flies out of the UK again on Monday evening. Thereafter, Vincent and I will be looking forward to our visit to Cape Town towards the end of November. And I have so much business stuff to prepare and schedule and Creative Team commitments to meet!
I regularly have to check my focus to see where I’m at, and if I’m at where I should be! Hence a deep feeling for the need to use my planner more than ever. If you’re wondering why I don’t use the diary on my phone… I’ve tried, really I have, but there is instant gratification and something so amazingly rewarding about having written down a task, a reminder, even some thoughts, and crossing it off once complete! I’m a list maker and definitely a tick-off-er so I’m really hoping this will keep me on the straight and narrow as I navigate this busy season!
By the end of the year, I aim to have super slick processes in place to handle everything I want to achieve as we move into 2019! In the meantime, I’d love to hear your tips and tricks for staying on track!
